Antidepressants in Lactation: Review of SSRIs and Zuranolone
Webinar Summary
This webinar provides an overview of medication use during lactation, with a focus on the treatment of postpartum depression. This session will explore how antidepressants, particularly SSRIs/SNRIs and newer agents like zuranolone, affect both the lactating parent and infant, including how medications transfer into breast milk and how to assess safety. Attendees will gain practical insight into current guidelines, evidence-based treatment options, and clinical decision-making strategies to support both maternal mental health and infant well-being.
